Our Canyons Vineyard Malbec is sourced entirely from a 1.25 acre microclimate towards the bottom oh the hillside. These Malbec vines sit (and hold on for dear life) on one of the most extreme growing sites that we work with. The rows are planted on a 45 degree Southern-facing slope where they receive tons of heat and strong winds that constantly blow through the narrow canyon during the peak of the growing season when the day-night temperature swings are at their highest. Jumping out of the glass we get black cherry, baking spices, and vanilla bean. The palate is rich but elegant, loads of dark fruit — plum, blackcurrant, and a classic white pepper Malbec finish. Drink now with a good 30+ minute decant or through 2035.
