International Wine Report - 96 points - The IV Montem Soils series is a special bottling of 7 different wines chosen from the 12 acres of the Fidelitas Estate to showcase the highest quality wines of the vintage. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% varietally focused and displays a brooding deep purple-garnet core with a slightly brickish rim. This is the best of the bunch from the series, with serious notes of crushed blackberries, black currants, pink peppercorn, cedary herbs, sweet licorice, dried mountain sage, bruised thyme, and a smooch of blood orange to finish things off. Incredibly young, this one will be much better with 3-5 years of aging to give the focused tannins some time to relax and then enjoy this one over the next 15 years or longer. Put me in front of a fire on a cold December day and let me sit with this wine for a couple of hours, and I would be perfectly content. Highly recommended.
